WebI've caught lots of students cheating over the years (I even got one expelled from the institution because of it; usually the penalty is a failing grade and an academic probation note on their transcripts) and they all have one thing in common; they just don't get it. When I took the SAT the proctor said that if ANYONE in the room is caught cheating, everyone who was in that room may have their scores canceled.
