Darkest Hour, to me, is the best designed and most well-thought out to give maximum realism. This is a controversial opinion, but i do think this game, regardless of the price, is just a much more wargame-like, data-based, enjoyable game than either hoi3 or 4.

With the 1.04 patch only coming out recently (20th September 2015) it was hard to find a version after that time which explains why the game was not responding.
