Webb18 aug. 2024 · I have had a poping nose for the longest time and I remember it all started when I replaced the front lower control arms, I loosened the cross member bolts and put a rubber spacer in between to test for a resolution to another problem, when in fact I created a new problem.

I happens for 2-3 seconds, at most, a few seconds after startup, but doesn't do it every time. Took it to a mechanic, who also happens to own a Frontier. Webb10 maj 2024 · In my view grease is only a temporary fix as grease there allows more slip to get loose, the bearing face to axle is like a clutch, dry it makes it harder to slip to make noise. It's the rocking back and forth semi-loose there making the noise, the grease makes that easier over the long run.
